Honouring the Land, Its History, and Its People
At AI WHY OH Digital, we respectfully acknowledge that we operate on the Treaty and Traditional Territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation, the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, and the Huron-Wendat and Wyandot Nations, in what is now known as Mississauga, Ontario, Canada.
We recognize that these lands have been home to Indigenous Peoples since time immemorial, long before the establishment of the communities and businesses that exist here today. For generations, Indigenous Peoples have maintained deep cultural, spiritual, and historical connections to these lands and waters, passing down traditions, knowledge, and values that continue to shape their communities.
We acknowledge the history of treaties, the displacement of Indigenous communities, and the lasting impacts of colonialism. We recognize the importance of honouring Indigenous rights, preserving cultural heritage, and understanding the responsibilities that come with living and working on these lands.
Mississauga is also home to diverse First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Peoples whose contributions continue to enrich the social, cultural, and economic fabric of our communities.
